In the midst of the storm
your Son Jesus Christ rebuked the wind
and commanded peace to the waves of the sea.
Hear us as we cry to you
in time of troubled waters and high wind.
Protect the lives of your people.
Grant them shelter and security.
Give to us the gift of faith
and the deep peace that the world cannot give.
Speedily restore to us
the blessings of fair skies and favorable breezes,
that we may always sing your praise
and give thanks for your steadfast love;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
